Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - Written Movie Review ( Eddie's Thoughts)

Today I'm reviewing the 2017 comedy/drama film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, directed by Martin McDonagh and stars Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Peter Dinklage, and John Hawkes. After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter's murder case, Mildred Hayes (Frances McDormand) makes a decision by painting three signs leading into her town with a message directed at the town's Police Chief William Willoughby (Woody Harrelson). When his second-in-command, Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell), an immature mother's boy with a history of violence who gets involved, the battle only gets harder for Mildred. Wow, this movie was absolutely amazing! Every cast member involved in this film were so phenomenal. Frances McDormand was fantastic as always. She was hilarious, yet very emotional when she needed to be. This is my favorite movie with her, other than Fargo. Outside of Francis, Sam Rockwell was a standout in this film. He was an absolute ruthless jerk and hilarious at the same time. He plays a racist, dirty cop with a history of violence towards everyone in town, mainly people of color. His character goes through a huge transformation as the story goes along, which I loved. Woody Harrelson was fantastic as always. There's a part in this film that I won't go into because of spoilers, but it's something very emotional that has something to do with his character. The film's story is phenomenally written. I was so invested that I didn't want the film to end. It's hilarious, brutal, and very emotional. All three blend together perfectly. I also felt everybody's chemistry in this film worked to perfection. I just couldn't get enough of it. The cinematography was absolutely beautiful and I really got into the Missouri setting. I don't know what it is, but I really get into stories with a small town setting. This film is pretty much flawless. It does end on an ambiguous note which I did enjoy, but I think they could've added an actual closure. If you haven't seen this film, please do! I promise you it'll be well-worth your time. It definitely deserves all the Oscar nominations that it has received. I'm going to give Three Billboards Outside Ebbing , Missouri a 9.5/10. What were your thoughts on this film?
