Eddie here. Today I'm reviewing the 2017 comedy, Rough Night, starring Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Demi Moore, Ty Burrell, Ilana Glazer and Dean Winters. Jess (Scarlett Johansson), an engaged politician reunites with her three college friends for a wild bachelorette party weekend in Miami. The night of hard partying soon takes a dark turn when a stripper accidentally dies at their beach house. Trying to avoid prison time, the women decide to cover up their mess but soon find out they got even bigger problems. I was gonna check this film out in theaters but I was a bit skeptical in seeing this film since there are a few actresses that I really can't stand in this film and thank God I didn't pay theater tickets to see this film because it was absolutely terrible. It's your typical unoriginal summer party film where partying leads to horrible crap that goes wrong but with actresses I can't stand, so that makes the watch even more painful. I only chuckled maybe twice and Scarlett Johansson wasn't too bad, even though it's one of her worst films. The performances from all her other friends were down-right painful and cringy. I also can't stand Kate McKinnon and Jillian Bell in anything they play in. Both actresses are not funny and they seem to kill the mood in every film. Both seem way too one-dimensional actresses that seem to bring the same character in every film they play in. The rest of the cast felt like they were forcing their comedic lines, which made it even more painful and unfunny. They pretty much took the plot of films where the main cast are men and the women are goodie two-shoes and switch it all entirely without any originality to it. Also, when they get to the beach house, it pretty much stays in that same location the entire film. All I can say it was really hard to sit through and I definitely don't recommend it at all. I'm going to give Rough Night a 2/10. What were your thoughts on this film? Leave me a comment below and I'll see you on my next review .
